How to Be More Productive

Does your work seem to keep piling up? You know that dinner needs to be made, laundry needs to be done, and so many more chores, but you just can’t seem to make yourself do it?

Welcome to the same boat of life.

I wish I knew the secret remedy that could magically give me motivation and strength. Even though I don’t, what I do know is ways to be proactive and combat all the chores piling up in your life.

First of all, remember to take care of yourself. This is one of the most important and easily forgotten tasks to do. For every person, this could look different. Taking care of myself for me means doing my skincare routine, watching my favorite show, sleeping in an hour late, journaling, or reading a book. This not only is good for your mind and heart but helps you reset yourself so that you can give and pour into your daily tasks, as well as friends and family.

Secondly, plan out your weeks. For my self-care Sundays, I like to sit down and plan out how my week will look. This gives me a visual idea of all the chores and work I need to accomplish for the week and keeps me accountable so that I can stay productive throughout the week.

Thirdly, reward yourself after you have finished your week or doing what you needed to get done. This ties into the first point as far as taking care of yourself but also gives you the motivation to get what you need to be done so that you can reward yourself.
